More 24 Hour SAFC People MORE 24 HOUR SAFC PEOPLE
book review

Sometimes sequels aren’t as good as the original. Fortunately ALS realised this when deciding that a follow up of 2006’s smash hit, 24 Hour SAFC People, would be necessary. It needed to be even better than the original and that’s no mean feat.

So instead of a tour of Wearside’s pubs, they traipsed the length and breadth of the country to bring an even wider collection of tales that are now here, before your eyes. Our contributors have spent months pouring over both prose and pints in order to present the finest collection of short stories to the best supporters in the world.

The book is filled with a complimentary mixture of joy and sadness, with Graham Laidler remembering Sunderland ’s pathetic plunge to the 3 rd Division in 1987 but the ultimate pick me up after reading such horrors is Martyn McFadden’s explanation of the famous Niall Quinn’s Disco Pants song. Other notable highlights include ALS columnist Francis Todd Malone recalling the closure of Roker Park as well as Richard Newton’s ‘Mickey Gray and the Timespace Continuum.’

Contained within these pages are two dozen tales, all chronicling the ups and downs that come with the territory of supporting Sunderland Association Football Club. So without any further ado, we present to you More 24 Hour SAFC People. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the musings of the drug that is SAFC .
