Rucking & Rolling 07/08 rucking & rolling: 60 years of international rugby
book review

Since World War II, the sport of rugby union has burgeoned from a relaxed amateur game - played for fun and friendship - into a multiple million pound business that has become one of the world’s best followed sports (however football remains the best).

Rucking & Rolling: 60 Years of International Rugby is the stunning illustrated history of this transformation, charting the rise of the game through great games and legendary players. The book covers all of the epic rugby contests featuring all of the great teams from England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland as well as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and British Lions, this beautiful book offers a fresh insight into the sport. The book is presented decade-by-decade and is packed with exclusive player interviews and 150 photographs capturing the highs and lows of rugby union.

From a personal point of view the contents of the book is uninspiring and not at all interesting (due to my hatred for rugby) but if I was to take a step back and look at this objectively I would recommend it to anyone. Maybe £25 is a bit steep but if this was a football book I would most probably pay it, therefore making this book a good choice for all rugby followers.
