Football Manager 2007 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007
games review …

EA SPORTS has spent the past few years slowly improving the quality of its Tiger Woods PGA Tour series of golf games, however you could say it’s stumbled some what to the creation of the 2007 version. It’s by no means a bad game, but maybe it could of required a bit more TLC in it’s creation as it lacks the drive and excitement that a new game normally generates.

There’s very little that's truly new in Tiger Woods 07, but it's still a very good game with l ots of great courses, the best create-a-character around and a game play that is as enjoyable as ever, not to mention plenty of licensed golfers. Well what’s wrong with it I hear you say, well the only criticism is that it is not superbly different from the 2006 creation.

There’s certainly no shortage of ways to occupy yourself with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07. You can select from a number of different match and scoring modes, including stroke play, match play, skins, practice, stableford, alternate shot, best-ball, and four-ball.

New features this year are bloodsome and greensome matches, both of which are team-based best-ball events. After you and your teammate hit your shots in greensome, you get to pick which ball you're going to play; in bloodsome, your opponent will choose which lie you'll use. One-ball is another new game, where you and your opponent share the same ball and alternate shots.

I think the problem with new games this year could be that they will all fall victim to their companies focussing their attention on creating their next generation console, as opposed to producing quality games for us to enjoy. It’s by no means bad but doesn’t set the world alight like previous releases, it still gets an ever so slight thumbs up from me though.
